Grocery shopping in Northeast Ohio isn't getting simpler.

Every chain runs its own app. Every chain prints its own flyer. None of them talk to each other. I'm a 19-year teacher who got tired of flipping through circulars to figure out what dinner cost this week - so I built Deal Meal Planner to do it for me as soon as the weekly ads refresh. The data is local. The recipes are practical. And for the first 500 founders, the price stays $29/year for as long as you stay subscribed.

How often do deals refresh?
Every time a chain drops a new flyer. NE Ohio chains refresh on Wednesday and Thursday; we bring in and check the new deals, then Weekly Picks and the digest go out Friday morning.
Which stores are covered?
Today: Aldi, Acme, Giant Eagle, Heinen's, Marc's, and Meijer. We also use Walmart-style baseline reference prices for pantry and fill-in items so meal plans can estimate basics that are not in the weekly flyers. Adding next: Discount Drug Mart and Buehler's. Dave's Supermarket, Save A Lot, and the wholesale clubs are on the roadmap after that. Founders vote on what we add next.
Will you stay in Northeast Ohio?
Northeast Ohio is the starting point and the quality bar. We will expand region by region, but not by sacrificing clean local data. Founders help vote on the next stores and markets.
What happens when the 500 founder spots are gone?
Founder pricing closes. New paid members will use regular pricing, currently planned at $39/year or $4.99/month. If you join as a founder, your $29/year price stays locked while your subscription remains active.
Do you sell my data?
No. We don't run ads, we don't sell your shopping list, we don't share your email. The whole business is the subscription.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. One click in your account. We hate dark patterns too.
Why not just use the store apps?
You can, and DealMeal does not replace checking the shelf or app before checkout. The difference is speed: DealMeal puts the major Northeast Ohio weekly deals in one searchable place, then helps turn the useful ones into dinner and a shopping list by store.
Is the data really from real flyers?
Yes. We ingest each chain's published weekly ad and normalize the deals into a searchable database. We never republish flyer images — only the facts (price, product, store, date).
What if my store isn't covered?
Email us. We're expanding store by store, region by region. Founders get a vote on what's next.
